Materials

Zaad begins with the material. We choose it for the task: solid wood for frames and load-bearing parts, natural veneer for a warm surface grain, MDF for the precise geometry of fronts. The result is furniture that is strong, stable and beautiful for decades.
We don't hide the brass. Handles, edging and slender legs are cast and polished by hand; with time it darkens nobly and keeps the trace of touch. Not a finish for shine, but a detail that ages beautifully.
From first sketch to assembly, every piece passes through the same hands — so we answer for every joint, every tassel, every chamfer.

Materials we trust
We choose our materials carefully so every piece is reliable, durable and comfortable to live with. We work in MDF, natural veneer, solid wood, brass and high-quality lacquer finishes. Together they let us build furniture with a flawless look, real strength and a long service life.
Solid wood
A sturdy base for frames and load-bearing parts. The timber is seasoned before work, so the form stays stable and the piece lasts for decades.
Natural veneer
A thin slice of real wood over an even substrate. It gives a refined texture and warm surface grain — elegant and long-lasting.
Cast brass
Handles, edging and legs in brass. Over time the metal takes on a soft patina and keeps the trace of touch — a detail that ages beautifully.
MDF & lacquer finishes
MDF holds the precise geometry of fronts, while multi-layer finishes protect the surface and deliver a flawless look in any colour.

How a piece is made

Sketch
We draw the form and proportions by hand and agree them with you — dimensions, wood shade, fabric.

The wood
We pick solid boards, seasoned for years, and cut them for this one piece.

Assembly
Joined by hand with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, no excess metal. Each joint is fitted on its own.
04
Finishing
We sand and finish with natural oils and wax. Brass is polished and set by hand.

Delivery
We pack, insure and ship worldwide — and assemble on site where needed.
